PRAYER MINISTRY"When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! We believe that prayer is essential to the life of the church. Jesus desires more than all that his people be known as people of prayer. At TVBC we have several prayer ministries that are meant to strengthen and encourage believers to grow in their prayer life.
Each Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30pm our church gathers for a time of praying together. After a brief word from our pastor the prayer time begins. This may involve gathering in prayer groups, individual praying, or covering the worship center and praying over various needs related to the church. This prayer time we believe is foundational for all we do at TVBC. As someone said, "When we work, we work - when we pray, God works!"
The Prayer Partner ministry is vital to our church and pastor. Those involved in this ministry commit on a year to year basis. The prayer partners involves the following aspects.
This prayer group is open to all ladies who sense they are gifted in the ministry of prayer. This group meets each Tuesday morning at 9:30am in the conference room. You are invited to be a part of this wonderful ministry for our church.
On Tuesday morning a group men gather at 6am to join together in a time of prayer for one another. Men need one another. Men need to encourage one another. This prayer group seeks to provide men a time of sharing their hearts and inviting God to work in their lives and their family. The prayer time lasts till 6:45am or until you need to head for work.
The church office sponsors a prayer list that is sent via email. Each day, the Newsflash is sent with prayer requests and church news. If you would like to be added to this list, please email tvbc@tannehillvalley.org and request to be put on the prayer list.
